Adolescents and Young Adults
As adolescents and young adults, your child should have visits annually.
Below is information about developmental milestones and safety concerns for your child’s age as well as any developmental screenings we will complete at each visit. Please bring a completed copy of these forms to your child’s appointment!
Years 13 through 15
What to Expect
At your child’s well-child visits in years 13 through 15, we will obtain your child’s weight, height and blood pressure and perform vision and hearing screenings. We will ask parents to briefly leave the room to give teen patients an opportunity to speak with their pediatrician confidentially.
Your child will fill out their own Pediatric Symptom Checklist and CRAFFT screenings to address behavioral and mental health concerns.
If your child is up to date on their vaccines, they will not be due for any routine vaccines at these visits
16 Years
What to Expect
At your child’s 16 year visit, we will obtain your child’s weight, height and blood pressure and perform vision and hearing screenings. We will ask parents to briefly leave the room to give teen patients an opportunity to speak with their pediatrician confidentially.
Your child will fill out their own Pediatric Symptom Checklist and CRAFFT screenings to address behavioral and mental health concerns.
They will receive a meningitis ACWY and meningitis B vaccine, they will then receive their second meningitis B vaccine at their 17 year visit.
